Are you often stressed?

Do you find it difficult to stay positive?

Do you lack confidence in your abilities?

Have you ever tried sophrology?

Sophrology is a relaxation method which helps you learn to relax manage your emotions and increase your self-confidence.

The main elements of sophrology are breathing exercises muscle relaxation and positive visualization.

Breathing exercises

They help you relax get rid of tensions in your body and manage your emotions.

Muscle relaxation

Helps you let go and get into a relaxed state a bit like before you fall sleep. In this state you can confront your fears, your anxiety and day-to-day problems because your mind isn't too overloaded. It’s a great way of giving yourself the space you need to think.

Positive visualization

When you bring positive things to mind, you feel happy and calm. This could be imagining yourself in a beautiful place, which you visited before and remembering this place with all your senses. With a little practice your visualizations will become clearer and you feel the positive effects almost as if you were reliving the situation.

You can also draw on resources from your past: happy events that you remember. This can help you recreate these situations again in the future so, for example, a great speech that you gave at an event five years ago. Well, you could do that again couldn't you?

You can project yourself in a positive situation in the future - imagining the best case scenario: Imagining that your exam went well that your job interview went well and why it went well and how you felt at the time.  If you work on this a bit you can make it happen in reality too.

My teaching philosophy

I bring these elements of sophrology into my teaching making sure that you're in the best possible environment for learning.

I want to make sure that you feel relaxed.

I encourage you to share your feelings as you go through the learning process.

I show you ways to make English a part of your everyday life  - something which you enjoy which makes you curious, which makes you want to know more.

At the end of the training you'll be an independent learner, able to continue your path independently.

You’ll feel more confident when speaking English in professional and social situations.

You’ll  have learned a few techniques to manage your stress.

I look forward to working with you!
